Earth Day Flowers

We had a fun time planting flowers for earth day today!

3D Shapes

Today we made 3D Shapes out of gum drops and toothpicks.  It was a great way to count vertices and edges.  We had a blast!

Bread Experiment

After about a month we can see the results of our bread experiment.  We tested to see if more mold would grow on bread handled with dirty hands or clean hands.  Each child touched the dirty hands pieces with both hands right after our recess time.  We then went and washed our hands with soap and water.  Each child then touched the clean hands pieces.  We placed pieces of bread that were not touched at all in a control group.  The dirty hands bread has grown a substantial amount of mold.  We learned that it is important to wash our hands!

Fun Week

We had a fun week learning about media literacy.  The kids designed their own candy bar label as their final product.  Also, our class book came in today!  The kids did an amazing job and they were so excited!

Making Rain

Today we learned how rain forms.  It was a blast!

Reading with friends

We have started reading with our friends at the end of every day.  The kids are loving it!

100th Day of School!

We had a great 100th day of school!  We worked together to read 100 books.  We worked together to write a 100 word story, and we made our snack with 100 fruit loops.  We also made shirts with 100 fingers on them!  It was a blast!
